This is how you use Silver Brown correctly: First, roll it in the frit and melt it down as usual. Let the bead cool slightly and strike it in the back of the flame. Let it cool slightly again. Reduce it briefly and lightly until an oil film is visible (it should not turn gray). Then either encase it or lightly polish over it with a neutral flame. Used over black, it produces a bluish shimmer.

Or simply use it on Effetre ivory (light or dark). It creates great effects!

The frit mixtures available so far usually have a COE of 92-98.
The glass used has the advantage of being very color-intensive and producing beautiful reactions, but it also has several disadvantages: many colors tend to devitrify, contain a lot of lead, and react strongly with silver.
Above all, however, a COE that differs from the glass of the base bead and the encasement can lead to difficulties.

Therefore, we have decided to offer frits and frit mixtures in COE 104.

Product care & materials

What materials do you use?

We use a wide variety of materials – including 925 sterling silver, stainless steel and surgical steel, nickel-free silver-plated and gold-plated metals, genuine minerals, glass, and many other materials for jewelry making.

In our own workshop, we also handcraft glass beads that we use for individual jewelry pieces and accessories.

What's the best way to care for my jewelry?

Keep your jewelry as dry as possible and preferably store pieces individually. Avoid direct contact with perfume, cosmetics, and cleaning agents. If necessary, clean your jewelry gently with a soft cloth. This will help maintain its color, shine, and beauty for as long as possible.

Can I wear my jewelry while showering or exercising?

We recommend removing jewelry before showering, swimming, or exercising – moisture, chlorine, and sweat can damage some materials.
