For years, Claudia has been diving into the world of glass beads with a growing passion. It all started with a TV segment about Carla di Francesco, which immediately captivated her. "I want to do that too," she thought 17 years ago. Fascinated by the infinite possibilities, she always enjoys experimenting with new techniques and ideas.

Making large beads is a real challenge, I think. Small beads are definitely more my thing! :-)

My greatest role model was Anita Schwegler-Juen. I find her precision phenomenal.

Inspiration is everywhere! Sometimes it comes from nature, sometimes simply from a cool color pattern on packaging or a magazine, or from the glass rods lying randomly next to each other on the table. Anything can be an idea...

My goals? To keep trying new things and, above all, to enjoy every hour at the torch :-) because as I like to say in my courses: it is the coolest hobby ever.

And? How did you find the challenge?

In the beginning, it was tricky with the colors. I fell in love with the image immediately. I really like working with complementary colors, but the reaction of turquoise with yellow/orange challenged me. Nevertheless, I didn't let the reactions restrict me. As time went on, the ideas just bubbled over, and although I was actually finished, I just had to make one more murrini. This challenge lured me out of my habitual color concepts. That was definitely not the last time I will commit to such a color combination.
