Interview with Angela Meier

Tadaaaa, we proudly present... the beads with the new monthly colors by Angela Meier.

Angela has been making glass beads since 2004, and purely by chance. While working for Manuell, the magazine for Swiss needlework teachers, they were approached by a course organizer in Central Switzerland for a report and were gifted a course. The spark was ignited.

When asked what was the hardest thing for her to learn, she answers: Precise dot patterns. :-)

She draws her inspiration from the glass itself, from the various techniques and their variations, as well as from the colors, the special properties of the glass, and sometimes from pictures and color moods.

Her greatest role model is Michael Barley.

And what are your goals, Angela? To continue to practice my work with glass with joy and satisfaction and to discover new things.

Do you already know our monthly color challenge?

Every month we publish a set color combination for which we would like to see your creations. Take part in our challenge and your bead project will be published and linked with your name, photo, and, if desired, a short interview.

In addition, you will receive a bundle with the color rods of the month. Would you like to take over a color month? The months of May and June are already taken. Well? Will you do July? Get in touch with us!

Everyone else has the opportunity to purchase the respective glass rod set, consisting of 3 glass rods approx. 30cm each per color, in our shop.

Product care & materials

What materials do you use?


We use a wide variety of materials – including 925 sterling silver, stainless steel and surgical steel, nickel-free silver-plated and gold-plated metals, genuine minerals, glass, and many other materials for jewelry making.

In our own workshop, we also handcraft glass beads that we use for individual jewelry pieces and accessories.

What's the best way to care for my jewelry?


Keep your jewelry as dry as possible and preferably store pieces individually. Avoid direct contact with perfume, cosmetics, and cleaning agents. If necessary, clean your jewelry gently with a soft cloth. This will help maintain its color, shine, and beauty for as long as possible.

Can I wear my jewelry while showering or exercising?

We recommend removing jewelry before showering, swimming, or exercising – moisture, chlorine, and sweat can damage some materials.
